What’s new

Release notes for Manifold, newest first: what changed, where to find it and who it is for.

For: Everyone: office staff, engineers and owners43 min read12 sections

2 November 2026: Fixes and small improvements

Smaller fixes and refinements across Manifold, so everyday work runs smoothly.

  • Fixes and small improvements. Smaller fixes and refinements across Manifold, so everyday work runs smoothly. Where to find it: Across Manifold, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.

2 November 2026: More room on your phone

The office pages use the full width of a phone screen, and a property note opens in a sheet you fill in from the bottom of the screen.

  • Office pages fit your phone. On a phone, forms, lists and cards line up on one margin and use the full width of the screen, so fields are wider and there is less to scroll. On a larger screen nothing moves. Where to find it: Every office page, on a phone. For office staff and owners.
  • Add a property note from your phone. On a phone, Add note and Add prompt open the form in a sheet from the bottom of the screen, and it closes once the note is saved. On a larger screen the form sits under the list. Where to find it: A property, Practical notes and Accessibility prompts. For office staff and owners.

2 November 2026: Several pieces of work on one visit

Book a gas safety check and a boiler service, or a repair and a service, as one visit: one stop for the engineer and one invoice with a line for each.

  • Add work to a visit. Any job can go on the same visit as a check or another job: a boiler service, a repair, an installation or anything else, with the same engineer, slot and property. Each keeps its own record or report. Moving the visit moves everything on it, and Book separately takes one piece off. Where to find it: Add work to this visit, on a check’s or a job’s page. Also a boiler service on Schedule check adds the service. For office staff and owners.
  • One stop on your day. A visit with more than one piece of work is one card on My day and My week, naming everything on it. When you finish one piece, the next on the same visit comes up first. A boiler service booked with a check is done on the check. Where to find it: My day and My week, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • One invoice for the visit. A visit’s invoice has a line for each finished piece of work, priced by its own work, so a check booked with a boiler service bills both. Work billed to someone else, or finished later, gets an invoice of its own. A service job’s report moves the next boiler service date. Where to find it: Invoice this job, on a check’s or a job’s page, and invoice runs. For office staff and owners.

1 November 2026: Book a job at any property

Create job finds any of your properties by address or postcode, and opens from a property’s own page with the property already chosen.

  • Find any property when booking. Create job, Schedule check, New invoice, New quote and adding an appliance or a defect offer every property you look after, however many you have: type part of the address or the postcode. Filing old certificate PDFs matches against every address too. Where to find it: Create job on Work, Schedule check, New invoice, New quote, Add appliance and Log defect. For office staff and owners.
  • Create job on the property page. Create job sits beside Schedule check on a property page and opens the form with that property chosen, for a repair, a service or any other work. Where to find it: A property page, Create job. For office staff and owners.
  • Your jobs start on you when you work alone. When you are the only engineer, a new job is assigned to you, so it is on your My day straight away. Where to find it: Create job. For owners.
  • Starter prices in one click. An empty price list offers typical UK prices for a gas safety check, a service, a call-out, labour and more, so the next invoice made on the phone is priced. Change any of them in Settings. Where to find it: Settings, Price list, Use the starter prices. For office staff and owners.
  • Price a job where you stand. When an invoice made on site is missing a price, Price this job asks for it: the price of the work, your hourly labour rate or a part’s price, or the starter prices in one tap. Each price goes in your price list for next time, and the invoice is ready to send. Where to find it: A finished job, Invoice this job, on the web and in the app. For office staff and owners.
  • Your details on every invoice. Before the first invoice goes, Manifold says what it would go without: your business address, a way to contact you or a way to pay you. On site, the invoice says when taking a card needs the Growth plan and Stripe. Where to find it: Send on an invoice, and Invoice this job on a finished job. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Carry on your invoice numbers. Switching from another system? Set the next invoice number and Manifold carries on from your last one. Where to find it: Settings, Organisation, Invoice payment details, Next invoice number. For owners.
  • Charge for a no-access visit. When a visit finds no access, Charge for the visit opens an invoice for it, priced from your price list, on its own invoice so the job is still billed for the work. Where to find it: A job’s page, under Visits. For office staff and owners.
  • Parts already on the job. The job report lists the parts a delivery has already put on the job, and says so if one is added again, so a part is invoiced once. Where to find it: The job report, Parts used. For engineers.
  • Clearer invoice runs. A new run covers last month and this month so far, names each job it leaves out with the reason, and a draft held by a run says so beside Send with a link to the run. Where to find it: Invoices, Invoice runs. For office staff and owners.
  • The landlord’s address before the visit. A Landlord Gas Safety Record needs the landlord or agent’s address. A check booked for one without it says so on its page, and the engineer sees it before Submit, where an owner or office user can add it there and then. Where to find it: A gas safety check’s page, and the check on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Delivered another way. Handed the certificate over, posted it or sent it by WhatsApp? Mark it delivered, with how it went, and it leaves the Undelivered list. Where to find it: A certificate’s page, under the tenant and the landlord lines. For office staff and owners.
  • The landlord’s email on your first job. Your first gas safety check asks for the landlord’s email with their name and address, so their copy goes in one tap. Booking a new address on the phone asks for it too. Where to find it: Your first job, and Book on the app. For owners.
  • Job reports reach the customer. When an engineer files a job report, the customer is emailed their copy straight away, when they have an email on file. Where to find it: A job report’s page shows when it was sent. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Repairs settle the record. When a repair from an accepted quote is reported, the defects it priced are resolved, the appliance it left safe reads Satisfactory, and the property goes back to its due date once nothing dangerous is left. The property page then offers a check for an updated record. Where to find it: Defects, the appliance and the property page. For office staff and owners.
  • More for the senior reviewer. The check page shows the reviewer the fuel, the gas tightness test, any LPG supply and both signatures before they approve. Where to find it: A gas safety check’s page, Engineer findings. For office staff and owners.
  • Erasure covers the notes. Erasing a tenant’s or landlord’s details also takes their name out of the property’s notes, and the confirmation lists where it was. Where to find it: A property page, Manage property, Erase tenant’s personal data. For office staff and owners.
  • Correct or remove any appliance on a check. Every appliance on a gas safety check has Correct or remove on its card. Put its make, model or location right, or take one that has gone (an old cooker the tenant took with them) off the check and the property’s register. Where to find it: A gas safety check on the phone, each appliance’s card. For engineers and owners.
  • Mark an appliance that has gone from the property. From its Correct or remove card, mark a boiler that was replaced or a fire that was taken out as gone from the property. It comes off the check, every check after it and the property’s register, and keeps its past checks, certificates and defects. The property page lists it apart with the date and who marked it, and Restore puts it back. Where to find it: A gas safety check on the phone, an appliance’s Correct or remove; a property’s Appliances & flues. For engineers and owners.
  • Complete a job with its report. On a job booked to you, Complete with the report opens the job report: say what you did, and it goes on the report and onto the invoice. A finished job without a report shows File the report. Where to find it: A job’s page, under Status. For engineers and owners.
  • Add a note to a job. The job’s Notes card has Add a note: a dated line with your name, under what the job already says. Where to find it: A job’s page, Notes. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • The property’s history one tap away. Property history, under a job’s status, opens the other jobs at the property and the visits from your old system, so on a phone the job and its notes come first. Where to find it: A job’s page, Property history. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Keep a note for next time. Tick Keep for next time when you add a note to a job, or add a note for next time on a check, and it heads every later job and check at the property, on the web and in the app. Each job in a property’s history shows its notes too. Where to find it: A job’s Notes, Add a note; a gas safety check on the phone; a property’s Practical notes. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Book the next check from an old one. A completed or imported check has Book the next check, which opens Schedule check with the property chosen. A check with no appliances yet says how many the property’s register holds. Where to find it: A gas safety check’s page. For office staff and owners.
  • Booking early keeps the renewal date. Book a check in the two months before it is due and Schedule check asks, in dates, whether to keep the renewal date or start a new year from the visit. Where to find it: Schedule check, under the visit date. For office staff and owners.
  • The readings each appliance takes. On a check, each appliance asks for the readings its type takes: a hob shows its pressure and condition, a room-sealed boiler its flue gas analysis, an open-flued appliance its spillage test. Where to find it: A gas safety check on the phone, on the web and in the app. For engineers.
  • What the job is for, on Today. Today’s visits shows the first line of each job’s notes, and a job’s page opens with its notes above the status. Where to find it: Today, Today’s visits; a job’s page. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Your business heads every record. Your business name runs across the top of every gas safety record, on screen and in the PDF, made with Manifold. The example certificate shows a finished record in your name. Where to find it: Every gas safety record; the welcome example. For office staff and owners.
  • Your day first on your phone. On a phone, an owner or office user with a visit on their own run today opens Manifold on My day, with the day’s work above what’s new. Where to find it: Signing in on a phone. For office staff and owners.
  • Drag jobs in the Diary. Jobs move in the Diary as checks do: drag one still to do to another day, engineer or run. A job with visits moves the visit you dragged. Where to find it: The Diary. For office staff and owners.
  • Everyone hears when work moves. Moving a visit to another engineer tells both of them, and says so when it double-books someone. When only the engineer changes, the customer can be sent a note naming who is coming. Unbook takes a visit off its engineer too, so booking it again starts with a free choice. Where to find it: Rescheduling a job or a visit, and the Diary. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Jobs from quotes are the right kind. A job made from an accepted quote takes its type from the work the quote priced (an installation, a service or a repair), and What is the job? lets you choose another. The quote’s invoices, deposit included, follow the job, and the job has Open the quote. A quote accepted in the portal makes its job straight away. Where to find it: Create job from accepted quote, on the quote. For office staff and owners.
  • Quote a defect from its page. Quote this work on a defect drafts a quote for that defect alone and opens it to price. Where to find it: A defect’s page. For office staff and owners.
  • More for your agents in the portal. A quote in the portal lists what it is for, line by line, and says what happens once it is decided. An invoice you mark as sent shows in the portal as well as an emailed one, and reminders and payment on site treat it as sent. Where to find it: The client portal, Quotes and Invoices. For office staff and owners.
  • Customers with one name told apart. When two customers share a name, the customer picker adds their email, their reference from your old system or the first line of their address. Where to find it: New invoice, New quote and editing an invoice. For office staff and owners.
  • Today counts the work that is yours now. After a switch from another system, renewals that were already overdue when your records came in are not counted on Today or in the bell. A line says how many there are and opens them on the Call list, to book the ones still yours and archive the rest. Where to find it: Today, Properties needing attention, and the Call list. For office staff and owners.
  • Find the fault shows what it used. Under each answer a line says what it was built from: this appliance’s history, your firm’s fault log for the code, or general knowledge only. When the code’s meaning is in neither, its first check is reading the code in the maker’s fault code list for that model. Where to find it: Find the fault, on a breakdown or repair job and on each appliance of a check. For engineers and owners.
  • Write off a bad debt from the invoice. Bad debt and VAT relief is on any sent invoice with money still owed, imported invoices included, not only those marked overdue. Where to find it: An invoice’s page, Bad debt and VAT relief. For office staff and owners.
  • The check in the order you work. Access gained comes first, the tightness test is open and starts with the fuel your register knows, and the date, Gas Safe number and your name sit on one line. Tools you only sometimes need are one tap away under Help with this appliance and More for this job. Where to find it: A gas safety check on My day. For engineers.
  • No access recorded as you answer. Answering No to Access gained records the visit as unable to complete and writes the attendance note, and the page shows only what a no-access visit needs: the note, a photo and your signature. Where to find it: A gas safety check, Access gained. For engineers.
  • Straight on to the next job. After Submit the screen shows the next job on your run with Navigate, Start travel and Start job. A check booked with a boiler service says so on My day. Where to find it: After Submit on a gas safety check, and My day. For engineers.
  • Start a job as you start a check. Start job on a job card starts your on-site time and opens the job report. A breakdown files its record straight away, starts on the property’s only appliance, and can use the office’s note for the fault in one tap. Where to find it: A job card on My day, and the job report. For engineers.
  • Choose who invoices on site. An owner whose office invoices every job can switch off Engineers invoice on site, so engineers finish a job without the invoice step. It is on unless you switch it off. Where to find it: Settings, Organisation, Features your firm uses. For owners.
  • Security update. Updates that keep your workspace and your customers’ details secure. Nothing changes in how you use Manifold. Where to find it: Across Manifold. There is nothing you need to do. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Fixes and small improvements. Smaller fixes and refinements across Manifold, so everyday work runs smoothly. Where to find it: Across Manifold, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • The result at the top of every certificate. Every gas safety record opens with a summary: the result, the next due date, how many defects and the most serious one, and any advisories, so a landlord or agent sees them first. Where to find it: A certificate’s PDF, its page and its public link. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Gas safety check and boiler service in one visit. Tick Also a boiler service on Schedule check: it shows the boiler on the property’s register, asks whether a service kit is needed, and a visit given a start time is booked for an hour and a half. The engineer sees the service is due on the check, and the service record is made from the same check. Where to find it: Schedule check, the check on the web and in the app, and the gas safety check’s page. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • First visit to a property. The check and the job report say First visit to this property when your firm has no earlier visit there on record, imported history included, so the engineer knows to take their time. Nothing for the office to type. Where to find it: The top of the check and the job report, on the web and in the app. For office staff and engineers.
  • Certificates with the invoice. An invoice for a gas safety job is emailed with the job’s gas safety record and any warning notice attached, so the customer gets everything in one email. Untick the option under Send to send the invoice alone. Where to find it: An invoice’s page, Send. For office staff and owners.
  • A tightness Pass with no movement. A tightness test with no perceptible movement on the gauge is recorded as a Pass without the installation volume. A drop the gauge does show needs it, as the permissible drop depends on it. Where to find it: The tightness test on a gas safety check, on the web and in the app. For office staff and engineers.
  • Heat input when it is not known. Heat input and output are optional on every appliance, a cooker included. Leave them blank, or type 0, N/A or unknown, and the check saves them as not known. Where to find it: An appliance’s readings and Add appliance, on the web and in the app. For engineers.
  • Old certificates by their own date. The certificate archive lists each certificate under the date on the certificate, newest first, with the day it was uploaded beside it. Upload a whole folder of certificate PDFs in one go: they go up 50 at a time, with a count of how far it has got. Where to find it: A property’s Certificate archive, and Properties, Import & organise, Certificate archive. For office staff and owners.

25 October 2026: Warning notices on site, and replacing an issued record

Engineers make the gas warning notice on site, an issued record can be replaced with a corrected one, and your business Gas Safe number prints on your records.

  • The warning notice is made on site. The engineer makes the gas warning notice on the done screen, with the responsible person’s signature or a note that they refused or were not there, before any senior review. Each unsafe appliance records whether it was turned off and labelled. Where to find it: The done screen of a check, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Replace an issued record. When an issued record needs correcting, Issue a replacement makes a corrected copy of the check. The engineer signs it, and the old record is kept and marked as replaced everywhere it appears. Where to find it: The record page, Issue a replacement. For office staff and owners.
  • Your business Gas Safe number. Add your business Gas Safe registration number once and it prints on gas records and job reports beside the engineer’s own. Where to find it: Settings, Business identity. For owners.
  • Tightness retests and test classifications. A tightness test that reads as a fail asks for a passing retest before it can be a Pass, and a failed appliance test asks for its NCS, AR or ID class before the check is submitted. Where to find it: The check, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Money on account and CIS. A customer’s credit, card receipts and deposits not yet on an invoice show as one figure, and recording a payment on a CIS invoice takes the CIS the contractor deducted. Where to find it: The customer page and Record payment. For office staff and owners.
  • Van stock on job reports, and booking any job on the phone. A job report can take parts from your van with their cost, and the app books every job type, not only gas checks. Where to find it: The job report, and Book in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Today opens faster. Today opens quickly on busy workspaces with many properties and visits. Where to find it: Today. For office staff and owners.

25 October 2026: A simpler menu, and more done on your phone

The menu is now six places: Today, Diary, Work, Customers, Money and Insights. Nothing has gone: every page keeps its name and address, and Search (Ctrl K) finds a page by its old name. Also new: send certificates by WhatsApp, LPG, breakdown and commissioning records, last year’s readings beside this year’s, and a fault finder.

  • The menu has six places. The seven groups that opened and closed are now six places down the left: Today, Diary, Work, Customers, Money and Insights, with Settings and Help underneath. Each place opens with a row of tabs for its pages. Every page keeps its name and its address, so bookmarks and links in emails still work. What moved: the Diary, Today’s visits, Call list, My week, Engineers and Timesheets are under Diary; Gas safety checks, Records, Defects and Van stock are under Work; Purchasing is under Money; Reports, Analytics and Exports are under Insights. Searching (Ctrl K) still finds a page by its old group name. Where to find it: The menu on the left. On a phone the bar at the bottom is Today, Diary, Work, Customers and More. For office staff and owners.
  • My day, Search and Tools. The engineer’s pages have a bar at the bottom with three places. My day holds the run, My week, Route and Prep. Search finds your own visits and jobs, past and booked, by address, postcode, tenant or reference. Tools reads a data plate, works out a tightness test and finds the maker’s manual or a fault code, now on the web as well as in the app. Where to find it: The bottom of My day, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Today says good morning. The top of Today greets you by your first name, Good morning, Good afternoon or Good evening by UK time, with the date beneath it. Where to find it: Today, the first page after you sign in. For office staff and owners.
  • Light is the default theme. New accounts, and the sign-in pages, start in the light theme. Dark is still one tap away, and anyone who already uses Manifold keeps the theme they have. Where to find it: Settings, Appearance, or the sun and moon button in the header. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Your Gas Safe number on the app’s check. The check in the Manifold app now shows your Gas Safe registration number, filled in from your profile, and asks for it once if it is not there yet. Every certificate needs it, so none is made without one, whichever app the check was done on. Where to find it: The app, a gas safety check, under Visit. The office sees the reason under Generate on the check page. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Certificate ready says the tenant has it. When you work alone and the tenant’s email is on the property, the Certificate ready screen now says their copy has been emailed, so the only send left is the landlord’s. Where to find it: After Submit on a gas safety check, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • The landlord’s copy, and the certificate afterwards. After Submit, the Certificate ready screen now asks you to send the landlord or agent their copy, with Email the landlord their copy on the web. Opening a finished check later offers its certificate again: View and send the certificate and Download PDF on the web, Open the certificate in the app. Where to find it: After Submit on a gas safety check, and the check once it is finished, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Clearer when something is refused. When an appliance added on site cannot go on the property’s list, the check says why under it and keeps it. If you have been signed out, a save says so in plain words. Every item Submit lists, readings and the tightness test included, has Go to it. Where to find it: A gas safety check, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Signing up keeps what you typed. Refreshing the page or pressing Back on the first job keeps the address and the landlord, and the Confirm your email page keeps its code box. A landlord who lives at the property is saved as a homeowner. Where to find it: Sign-up, the first job and the certificate PDF. For owners.
  • What is left to submit keeps up with you. When Submit lists what is still to finish, each item now goes as you fill it in, and the list goes once nothing is left, so there is no need to tap Submit again to check. Where to find it: A gas safety check, above Submit, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • New accounts start with a price list. A new account now starts with starter prices for the everyday jobs, a gas safety check, a service, a call-out, labour by the hour, a no-access visit and a few extras, so the first quote and invoice are priced before you set anything up. They are marked as starter prices until you change them or keep them. Accounts that already have a price list are not changed. Where to find it: Settings, Price list. For office staff and owners.
  • The header fits a phone. On a phone, Online is shown as its signal icon, leaving room for the Manifold name. Offline still says Offline. Where to find it: The top of every page in My checks, on the web. For engineers and owners.
  • A page that cannot load says so. When a list or your day cannot be read, for example on a weak connection, the page says so and offers Try again. Search says when it is not working, and a send that does not go says the certificate is safe. Where to find it: Every list, search, a record’s Send buttons, the invoice editor, and My day, My week, Prep and Route on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Last year’s readings beside this year’s. Each reading on a gas safety check shows last visit’s figure under it, and when the CO/CO₂ ratio has at least doubled since then the check says so. It is a prompt, never a block: the call is yours. Where to find it: A gas safety check, Readings & tests on each appliance, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • LPG on the gas safety certificate. A property on LPG now records its supply on the check: cylinders or a bulk tank, the regulator, the hose and its replace-by date, the location and ventilation, and the emergency control. The certificate prints it and its title says LPG. Where to find it: A gas safety check, LPG supply under the tightness test, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Book a job from the app. Owners, office users and anyone who works alone can book a gas safety check in the Manifold app: the address, the day and who does it. A check you book for yourself opens ready to fill in, and an empty day now offers Book a job instead of telling you to wait for the office. Where to find it: The app, My day or My week: Book a job. For office staff and owners.
  • Start, and close, your account in the app. Someone new to Manifold can create an account from the app’s sign-in screen, add the business address and their Gas Safe number, and book a first job without a computer. A new address asks for the landlord or letting agent, whose name and address go on the certificate. The owner can ask for the account to be deleted from the app’s Settings, or from Settings on the web, and is told when it will be done. Where to find it: The app: Create an account on the sign-in screen, and Settings, Delete account. For owners.
  • A breakdown and repair record. A breakdown or repair job now files a Breakdown and repair record: the appliance, the fault and any fault code, your diagnosis, the readings after the repair, and whether it was left safe to use. It prints with its own title and a BR- reference. A plain job report is still one tap away. Where to find it: A breakdown or repair job, Complete job, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Commissioning and decommissioning records. An installation job now files a Commissioning record with the details the Benchmark checklist asks for (the cleanse, the readings at maximum and minimum rate, the flue and the handover), and it sets the next service 12 months on. A Decommissioning record covers an appliance taken out with nothing in its place. Where to find it: An installation job, Complete job, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Find the fault. Give the fault code and what the appliance is doing, typed or dictated, and the fault finder suggests the likely causes, the checks to rule each out in order, and the parts it could be, starting from that appliance’s own history and what your firm has logged for the code. A smell of gas or a sign of carbon monoxide always leads with stop and make safe. With no signal it shows what your firm has logged for the code. Nothing is added to the job until you tap: the diagnosis or findings, a quote for the further work (priced from your price list where it has the item), the fault code on the appliance, or a defect on a check. Suggestions only: you test, confirm and decide. Part of Manifold Assist and every trial, up to 150 diagnoses per engineer each month across the workspace. Where to find it: Find the fault, on a breakdown or repair job and on each appliance of a gas safety check, on the web and in the app. The office job page has it too. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • The Diary from the keyboard. A visit opens with Enter or Space, the arrow keys move between visits, and the Assign menu works with the arrow keys and Escape. Where to find it: Diary, the week and day views. For office staff and owners.
  • Properties keep their place on the map. Choosing an address from the search when you add or edit a property now saves where it is, so the route planner can map it and estimate the drive. Retyping the postcode afterwards clears it until you search again. Where to find it: Properties, Add property or Edit, the address search. Also the first job you add. For office staff and owners.
  • Notifications are with the workspace settings. Notifications now sit under Workspace in Settings, since they apply to everyone. Analytics links straight to Explore and Dashboards. Where to find it: Settings, Workspace, Notifications. Analytics, at the top of the page. For office staff and owners.
  • Send a certificate by WhatsApp. Share and WhatsApp send the certificate’s secure link from your phone: WhatsApp opens the tenant’s chat when their mobile is on the property. A share is logged as shared, not delivered, because Manifold cannot see it arrive, so the tenant’s delivery date still comes only from Manifold’s own email. Where to find it: Certificate ready after Submit, on the web and in the app, and beside Copy link on a record. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Share an invoice from your phone. The payment link can go by WhatsApp or any app, with the invoice number and balance written for you, and a sent invoice’s PDF can go through your phone’s share menu. Sharing never sends or marks the invoice; Send does that. Where to find it: A job’s invoice, beside Show payment QR and link, and Share PDF on a sent invoice’s page. For office staff, engineers and owners.
  • Work done with no signal is kept when you sign in again. If your phone has been signed out while it held checks or photos waiting to send, signing back in as you sends them, so nothing waiting is lost. Work always sends under the engineer who did it. Where to find it: My day, on the web and in the app. For engineers and owners.
  • Clearer steps to put Manifold on your phone. The install steps now match the phone and browser you are using, including Chrome on an iPhone, the new Safari on iPhone, and Samsung Internet on Galaxy phones. Where to find it: Add Manifold to your home screen, then Show me, on My day. For engineers and owners.

23 October 2026: A smoother first day

Signing up and the first gas safety record are smoother: the address search asks for the house number, and the check form is clearer about signatures, the CP14 and work waiting to send.

  • The address search asks for the house number. When a result finds the street but not the house, the first line asks for the house number or name, and a number you typed into the search is kept. Where to find it: Find the address, on your first job and Add property. For office staff and owners.
  • Signatures, the CP14 and waiting work. The signature box asks for a full signature. After Submit, the screen reminds you when the check also needs a CP14 warning notice and where to make it. A check waiting to send retries by itself and the screen changes to Certificate ready when it goes. Where to find it: The check on your phone. For engineers and owners.
  • Fixes and small improvements. Smaller fixes and refinements across Manifold, so everyday work runs smoothly. Where to find it: Across Manifold, on the web and in the app. For office staff, engineers and owners.

22 October 2026: The address search asks for your first line

When you search for an address by its postcode, Manifold asks for the house number and street, and keeps a first line you have typed.

  • The address search asks for your first line. When a result only finds the area, for example a postcode on its own, the first line asks for the house number and street, and a first line you have already typed is kept. Where to find it: Find the address, on Add property, Edit property, your first job and an engineer’s home address. For office staff and owners.

18 October 2026: Safety details you can see at a glance

A property with an open dangerous defect now says so beside its status, an impossible next check date is refused, and the tightness card refuses a pressure that cannot be right.

  • Open defects beside the status. A property whose certificate is valid but has an Immediately Dangerous or At Risk defect still open now says so beside the status, for example "Valid · 1 Immediately Dangerous defect open". Where to find it: The property page header and each row of the Properties list. For office staff and owners.
  • Next check dates that follow the rules. A next check due date more than 14 months after the last check is refused. Between 12 and 14 months, Manifold asks once whether the check was done in the 2 months before the last one was due, so the date carries over. Where to find it: Editing a property, certificate renewal dates, and the property and past check imports. For office staff and owners.
  • The tightness card refuses impossible pressures. A test pressure the tightness calculator refuses is now refused on the check page too, with the reason under the field. An unusual pressure that could be right still only warns and asks for a note. Where to find it: The tightness test on a check, on the phone and in the browser, and the Tools calculator. For engineers.

18 October 2026: A new look, and the same work in fewer places

Manifold has a new layout. Everything you used is still there, grouped by the job it does, and the screens are clearer on a phone.

  • A new sidebar, grouped by what you are doing. Pages are grouped under Work, Compliance, Customers & property, Money, Resources, Reports and Administration. One group opens at a time, and the page you are on keeps its group open. Nothing has been taken away: every page you used before is still there, and a few have new names (below). Where to find it: The sidebar on the left. Search, or All features at the foot of the sidebar, finds any page by name. For office staff and owners.
  • Some pages have new names. Dashboard is now Today. The old Today page is now Today's visits, under Work. Jobs is now Work, and its full list is the detailed job list. Gas safety is now Gas safety checks, under Compliance. Schedule is now Diary. Your bookmarks and the links in your emails still open the same pages. Where to find it: The sidebar on the left. Search, or All features, also finds a page by its old name. For office staff and owners.
  • Today is a list of what needs doing. Today opens on Needs attention: each row names the action to take and has its button beside it. Business overview, with your figures for the period, follows underneath. Where to find it: Today, at the top of the sidebar. For office staff and owners.
  • Work brings renewals, visits, reviews and invoice drafts together. Work lists every job by its next action, using the same rule as Today for what needs attention, so the two always agree. The detailed job list keeps its imports behind one Import menu. Where to find it: Work, then By next action. For office staff.
  • Properties at a glance. The property list shows what is due and when across your portfolio, with the Call list beside it as an action. The property page keeps the Jobs card, its checks and its certificates together. Where to find it: Customers & property, then Properties. For office staff.
  • Clearer money screens. Invoices read as one register. When a VAT export has closed some days, a payment, credit or remittance dated on one of them names those days and offers the nearest open day. Where to find it: Money, then Invoices. For office staff and owners.
  • Better answers from Assist. Questions about checks are answered from your checks, and questions about who did the work use the same rule as the Gas safety checks list and Explore, so the figures match the rest of Manifold. Where to find it: Assist, from the search bar or Reports. For office staff and owners.
  • Forms that say what is wrong, where it is wrong. A problem shows at the field that needs changing, Enter saves, and a confirm that deletes or cancels something opens with Cancel selected, so a stray key press cannot remove work. Where to find it: Every form and confirm in Manifold. For office staff and engineers.
  • Easier on a phone. Buttons, links and menus are large enough to tap on a phone screen, wide tables say when they scroll sideways, and menus open under their button. Where to find it: Everywhere, at phone width. For office staff and engineers.
  • My day and My week, with a clearer time card. The engineer screens are named My day and My week everywhere. The time card never offers a cancelled check, asks before saving a finish time before the start, and Prep is headed Prep on the app as on the web. Where to find it: My day, My week and Time, on the app and on the web. For engineers.
  • Access notes from the office reach you. A note the office adds about getting in to a property now shows on the job you are sent to, and starting a job booked for another day asks you first. Where to find it: The job, from My day. For engineers.

12 October 2026: Job history on the property and client pages

Every job for a property, including the jobs brought over from Commusoft, now shows on the property and client pages.

  • A Jobs card on every property and client. Open work comes first, then the history newest first, each with its reference, what was done and the engineer. Jobs brought over from Commusoft show here too, marked as imported. Where to find it: Open a property or a client: the Jobs card sits under the details. Show all lists the full history. For office staff.

How you hear about a release

  • In the office: after a release, the notification bell is marked New and a banner names the release, with See what’s new and Dismiss, once. Open it or dismiss it and it does not come back, on this or any other device.
  • Engineers: My day, on the app and on the web, shows a card with the changes for engineers until you press Got it; All release notes opens this page.
  • Every release is listed on this page, newest first, with what changed, where to find it and who it is for.
