Mobile Pilot Steps

1. 1Sign in as an engineer on a real phone and confirm the assigned check appears.
2. 2Grant camera permission and capture the required photos and appliance data plates.
3. 3Enter per-appliance readings and record one test defect with a severity category.
4. 4Turn airplane mode on, keep working, then reconnect and confirm the draft and photos sync.
5. 5Capture engineer and tenant signatures and submit the check.

What A Ready Pilot Proves

• The engineer can sign in and see only their work.
• Camera, photo capture, and PlateScan or FlueScan assist behave on real hardware.
• Offline drafts persist and pending photos retry after reconnect.
• The submitted check arrives in the office review queue cleanly.

Capture Standard

A strong check captures defensible evidence without turning every visit into slow data entry. The engineer’s judgement is the source of truth; the camera assists and the app records.

• Confirm every PlateScan and FlueScan suggestion before it is written; OCR is a draft, not an authority.
• Capture readings against the correct appliance using the location label.
• Record defects with the right category and a clear remedial note while on site.
• Capture required photos as concrete proof, not generic snaps.
• Capture engineer and tenant signatures last, because they freeze into the immutable record.
