Before You Start
Importing your data from Gas Engineer Software is a straightforward move: Manifold imports the file Gas Engineer Software gives you, and you do not reformat anything. The switch reuses the standard CSV importer, so nothing is written until you confirm a preview, duplicates are handled for you, and any import can be undone in one click. Run it as an office user who can check the result, and keep Gas Engineer Software running read-only until you are happy with what landed.
- What comes across: your customers (into Clients) and your job addresses (into Properties), including each property’s gas-safety due date.
- What to have ready: a customer CSV and a job-address CSV exported from Gas Engineer Software (ask their support if you cannot self-export).
- You do not need to rename columns. Manifold maps Gas Engineer Software’s headers onto its own. Headers vary by account, so check the preview and tell us if a column did not map.
- Appliance registers are not part of the Gas Engineer Software import. Add them with the standard Appliances template or build them up as you work. See CSV Imports and Templates.
