Billing, Plans, and Entitlements

Billing, plans and entitlements set what a workspace can do, how Stripe billing runs, and how feature access behaves.

The Plans

Billing, plans, and entitlements in Manifold determine what each workspace can do and what it costs to run. Manifold is priced per engineer, per month (excluding VAT), across four tiers. The figures below are the introductory early-access rates shown on the Manifold pricing page; final prices are confirmed at launch, so treat these as indicative and check the pricing page for the current rate. Each paid tier also sets the maximum number of engineers, the records you can generate per month, and storage.

  • Starter: £15 per engineer / month. Up to 5 engineers, 50 records per month, 5 GB storage. The Manifold core plus AI capture (FlueScan and PlateScan), the client portal, and manual CSV exports.
  • Growth: £20 per engineer / month, the most popular tier. Up to 25 engineers, 500 records per month, 25 GB storage. Adds Manifold Assist, AI report drafts, customer card payments, accounting sync (Xero, QuickBooks and Sage), scheduled exports, the Power BI connector, and custom notification settings.
  • Scale: £25 per engineer / month. Up to 100 engineers, 2,500 records per month, 100 GB storage. Adds AI insights across your jobs and priority support.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing (“Let’s talk”). Unlimited engineers, records, and storage, with portfolio roll-up, onboarding, and bespoke terms.

Seeing What You Are On

  • For the full tier comparison (pricing, seat limits, and per-feature availability), see the Manifold pricing page.
  • To see your current plan, seat usage, and which features are active, open Billing from the sidebar.
  • Manage the subscription through Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Billing Portal; subscription state stays in sync through verified Stripe webhooks.
  • Platform staff can inspect billing status when supporting an account.

Entitlements

  • Feature access can depend on entitlements such as AI insights, scheduled exports, or portal features.
  • When a feature is not included, Manifold shows a plan message rather than failing silently.
  • Allow a few minutes after a change for billing state to propagate, then refresh.

Troubleshooting

  • Checkout will not open: confirm the plan and currency are available, then retry.
  • Feature still locked after upgrade: wait a few minutes, refresh, then sign out and back in.
  • Billing status looks stale: refresh after a few minutes and contact support if it does not catch up.
  • A banner says a payment failed: the subscription is past due and Stripe is retrying. The workspace keeps working through the grace window; follow the banner to the billing portal and fix the payment method before it ends.

Least-Power Access

Give each person the least powerful role that still lets them do their job. It keeps client data controlled and keeps the audit trail meaningful.

  • Use the engineer role for field staff; do not grant office controls they do not need.
  • Use client portal users for landlords and agents rather than sharing office credentials.
  • Give everyone their own account so records, approvals, and changes stay attributable.
  • Deactivate leavers instead of recycling their account for someone new.
