Ask a question, then verify before you share

Ask Manifold answers read-only, tenant-scoped questions grounded in rows the user can see. It is a fast way in, not a substitute for checking the evidence.

What you see

  • A natural-language question box over your gas safety data.
  • An answer draft with the rows it is grounded in.
  • Save, and a clear prompt to verify before sharing.

How to use it

  • Ask with a clear date range and client or property name.
  • Read the underlying rows before trusting the answer.
  • Use it for operational questions, not final compliance sign-off.
  • Treat low-confidence answers as a prompt to look closer.

Troubleshooting path

  1. 1If no answer returns, confirm the AI entitlement and that the question is supported.
  2. 2If rows look missing, confirm the records exist in the queried period.
  3. 3If an answer seems off, verify against analytics before sharing.

Supported Questions

  • Overdue or due-soon properties.
  • Compliance rate by client or across the workspace.
  • Pass rate and completed checks by engineer.
  • Open defects, including At Risk, Immediately Dangerous, and Not to Current Standards items.
  • Average CO readings and appliance-type breakdowns where data is present.

Availability and Limits

Ask Manifold is a premium, entitlement-gated AI feature: it is not part of every plan. When your plan does not include it, the question box does not work and Ask returns a plan message rather than an answer, so confirm the entitlement before troubleshooting anything else.

  • Included on plans that carry the AI insights entitlement; on plans without it, Ask is unavailable by design. See Billing, Plans, and Entitlements to check what your plan includes.
  • Questions are rate-limited (a small number of questions per few-minute window) to keep usage fair; if you hit the limit, wait briefly and retry.
  • A question must be a few characters long and stay reasonably short: very long prompts are rejected.
  • Every question and answer is recorded for auditability, alongside the model used and a confidence signal.

Safety Contract

Ask Manifold is read-only, tenant-scoped, and grounded in rows the current user is allowed to see. Unsupported or low-confidence questions are answered explicitly rather than guessed, and usage is rate-limited and audited.

  • Use it for operational analysis, not final compliance sign-off.
  • Review the underlying rows before sharing an answer externally.
  • Ask with clear date ranges and client or property names for the best answers.

Troubleshooting Ask Manifold

Troubleshooting

  • No question box, or a plan message instead of an answer: your plan does not include the AI insights entitlement. Confirm it under Billing.
  • Asked too many in a row: Ask is rate-limited; pause for a few minutes and try again.
  • No answer returned: confirm the question maps to supported data (the topics listed above).
  • Answer seems thin: add a date range, client, or property to the question.
  • Rows look missing: confirm the relevant records exist and fall within the queried period.

Trust the Right Surface

Analytics, reports, Ask Manifold, and the dashboard answer different questions. Knowing which one to trust for a given question avoids confusing conversations with clients.

  • Use the dashboard for live operational status and the day’s worklist.
  • Use analytics for live, filterable investigation across dimensions.
  • Use reports for client-ready output built from approved, delivered records.
  • Use Ask Manifold for quick read-only questions, then verify rows before sharing.

Reconcile Differences Calmly

When two surfaces disagree, it is usually because they include different data, not because one is broken.

Troubleshooting

  • Reports use approved, delivered records; analytics can include live, filtered data, so totals can differ.
  • Match the period and approval state on both surfaces before assuming an error.
  • Drill into the underlying rows to see exactly what is counted.
