Find the driver behind a compliance number

Analytics rolls up checks, pass rate, defects, and average readings, then lets you pivot by engineer, client, or appliance type and drill into the rows behind a figure.

What you see

  • A KPI rollup across checks, completion, pass rate, defects, and average CO.
  • A breakdown by engineer, client, property, property type, or outcome (the explorer adds client type and month, week or day).
  • A checks table holding the evidence behind the numbers.

How to use it

Analytics Functions

Saved Dashboards

Beyond the built-in console, Analytics has a Dashboards area for saved tile layouts your team can revisit, so a recurring question becomes a page instead of a rebuild.

  • Each tile is an analytics query rendered as a KPI, a chart, or a pivot table.
  • Create a dashboard once, name it, and the whole team can open it at /analytics/dashboards; the list links back to the console.
  • Viewing needs dashboard access (owners and office users); creating and editing layouts needs the owner role.

Troubleshooting Analytics

Troubleshooting

  • Numbers differ from a report: both read the same live data, so check the period (the summary report defaults to 90 days, the console to 30) and any free-text filter on the console.
  • A client is missing: check the date range and whether any checks fall in the window.
  • Export has fewer rows than expected: confirm the filters match what you intend to export.

Metric Dictionary

  • Completion rate: completed checks divided by all non-cancelled checks in the period.
  • Pass rate: satisfactory checks divided by assessed checks (those with a satisfactory, unsatisfactory or action-required verdict; unable-to-complete checks are excluded).
  • Action-required rate: assessed checks needing remedial action divided by assessed checks.
  • Defect rate: checks raising at least one defect divided by all non-cancelled checks in the period.
  • Average CO: mean of captured CO ppm readings across the selected window.
  • Compliance rate (Portfolio compliance report): properties that are valid or due soon, with no open action required, divided by all properties in scope. Ask Manifold reports a stricter figure that also excludes properties due within 30 days, so the two can differ.

Trust the Right Surface

Analytics, reports, Ask Manifold, and the dashboard answer different questions. Knowing which one to trust for a given question avoids confusing conversations with clients.

  • Use the dashboard for live operational status and the day’s worklist.
  • Use analytics for live, filterable investigation across dimensions.
  • Use reports for client-ready, print-ready output over the same live data, with an optional AI draft.
  • Use Ask Manifold for quick read-only questions, then verify rows before sharing.

Reconcile Differences Calmly

When two surfaces disagree, it is usually because they include different data, not because one is broken.

Troubleshooting

  • Reports and analytics read the same live data; totals differ when the period or a free-text filter differs.
  • Match the period and approval state on both surfaces before assuming an error.
  • Drill into the underlying rows to see exactly what is counted.
